Am I in love with it anymore? Um... for the most part. I still really love the idea of it, I love the way it looks in the picture, but so far it's been a big test in my patience. Not necessarily the pattern's fault, just um, mine.
It was a slow start, and for some reason I ended up taking out the garter stitching yoke twice. All I remember is there were things wrong, and now I'm blocking all the rest out.
Then I made it to the gull lacing, and after getting to the section past the sleeve separating on the flight from Raleigh to Dallas, I spent a good hour of my four hour lay-over in Dallas undoing all the way up to the garter stitching due to some problem I have also blocked out. Then, I did it over again. And then I took the same part out again when I realized it probably would look a lot better if I switched from the size 9 circular that I used at the top to a size 7 on the lace part... So out it came again. After purchasing said size 7 this weekend, I've now worked four sections of the lace past the sleeve sectioning part, and it's a success!
I don't think I've ever taken apart anything this many times and not been terribly upset with it, it's actually a sort of peaceful test of my patience I think...
(and what's that in the left top corner of my table? Oh, that, that's what I'm SUPPOSED to be doing, NOT knitting in front of the television... Darn NCLEX studying)
