Finally Finished

It's doooooooooone!

I've only been working on this quilt since.... what... July? June? Probably June.

I bought the Star squares on eBay last December, and was hoarding them for awhile before I got to work getting the dang quilt made. And I worked... and put it away, and got it out again, and slowly but surely all those little bits went together and the quilt got finished!

On the other hand, I can't take all the credit for its completion. If I hadn't taken it home over Christmas and coerced Mom and my sister to help me get the top finally all sewn together, and the whole thing basted together, I'm not sure it would have ever gotten finished!

It's the largest quilt I've made to date, and I was pretty sure my hands were going to fall off before I finished tying every.single.tiny.corner of each individual square, but whaddya know? They didn't!

I put in a good two hours in front of the boob-tube last night catching up on the first season of October Road, which I'm not sure I like, and finished the whole binding.

It does feel good to finish something I've been working on so long, and I'm looking forward to sleeping under it tonight!
